Miami Dolphins 1st round Draft Guide

This guide will briefly contain all you need to know about the draft as a Miami Dolphins fan.

First off, we need to identify our team needs. Our need of a reciever was solved with the signing of Brandon Marshall (who we gave up our 2nd round pick for). I think we should wait another year if we want a Running back, because next year has a much deeper RB class. That leaves defense as the focus of this draft. Even before the departure  JT, Outside Linebacker was a big hole we needed to fill. Now, it’s even bigger. My top choice to fill it would be Sergio Kindle, the very athletic OLB out of Texas. Jason Pierre-Paul, another athletic OLB out of South Florida is another option, as well as Derrick Morgan, out of Georgia Tech, if he’s still available.

Another need for us is Free Safety. Gibril Wilson is thankfully gone after a dismal  season. Chris Clemens is a more natural Strong Safety, so I think FS is a position we need to confront in the early rounds. Earl Thomas, FS out of Texas, is the one name that hits me. He was impressive at the combine, and would certainty help this team. After Thomas, some options are Taylor Mays from USC and Nate Allen from South Florida.

The final need for us is Nose Tackle. The obvius choice is Dan Williams of Tennessee, who has been the Dolphins pick in many mocks. After Williams, the only other 1st round choice would be Terrence Cody from Alabama, who we would trade down for.

Ok, so sit back, relax, and enjoy the draft. Tomorrow, I will have a later round and sleeper report up. Enjoy!
