Pennington Will Be Dolphins 3rd String QB: Thigpen 2nd

According to the Miami Herald, the Dolphins are making newly re-signed quarterback Chad Pennington the 3rd string quarterback, which would make Tyler Thigpen, the 2nd string QB.

This leaves last years 2nd round draft pick, quarterback Pat White, out of the mix.

So where do the Fins put him on the roster? Do they make him into a running back? Kick/punt returner? Slot Receiver? No, he would get killed at every one of those positions, and would even have to gain 15-20 pounds just to be considered at being placed at those positions.

With White in a flux of confusion, this leads us back to Pennington.

Pennington says he has devised a 5 year plan, and the first step of this plan is to sign on with the Dolphins for one year, acting as the 3rd string quarterback, and mentoring the Dolphins starting quarterback, Chad Henne.

This upcoming year will be CP10’s last with the Fins, as he is looking to “chase the ring” says a source to the Miami Herald.
