Some (Creative) Headlines For The New Year

With the new year upon us, and the Dolphins season all but over after this weekend, us Dol-Fans are forced to turn our attention to the upcoming free agency, and of course the 2010 NFL Draft.

But I would like to take a look further into the off-season, and even into the season, where I will explain the headlines that I would like to see come next season for the Miami Dolphins.

Headline That I Most Want To See: Chad Henne Leads Dolphins To Playoffs: This may be the headline that we all would like to see, but for Henne to put this team on his shoulders next year, and take the Dolphins to the promised land.

Headline That I Do NOT Want To See: Ronnie Brown Out For Season After Tearing ACL: If Ronnie were to to suffer yet another season ending injury, which would be his 3rd in a span of 4 years, that would all but mean the end of his time in Miami. This would also leave Miami without their playmaker in the backfield, which nobody wants to see.

Headline I Most Anticpate in 2010: Dolphins Capture Playoff Spot As AFC East Division Leaders: Really in my mind if we can add a couple pieces through the draft and a couple pieces through free agency, the Dolphins will be more than on their way to winning the AFC Beast for the second time in three years.

Headline I Least Anticipate in 2010: Jason Taylor Leads The Patriots to Super Bowl Win: This one is a little tough. With the defensive coaching staff deciding to bench Taylor on obvious passing situations, Taylor has a little bit of thinking to do this year on whether or not he would like to return to the Dolphins for one last go-around. There is always the possibility that the Dolphins or Taylor would decide against another season in Dolphins aqua, and if that is the case, Taylor might decide to head north to where he has a “legitimate” shot at the Super Bowl, according to ESPN, and the little lovefest that they have going on with New England. Either way, I expect Taylor back in a Dolphins uniform after some long hard thinking on his part.
